TRICHY: Two days after Makkal Needhi Mariam (MNM) president Kamal Haasan kicked up a storm by terming Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse as a “Hindu terrorist,” the Aravakurichi police in Karur district of Tamil Nadu registered a case against him on Tuesday.
Based on a complaint lodged by Hindu Munnani district secretary VK Ramakrishnan, the police registered the case against Kamal under two IPC sections. The case has been registered under sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion) and 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings).
