After 59 encounters, the 12th season of the Indian Premier League is about to come to an end. Only two teams remain in contention as IPL 2019 heads into its summit clash. Three-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will clash with another three-time IPL winners in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the ultimate glory of the edition. Rohit Sharma-led MI will look to keep up with their clean slate versus CSK this season (3-0), whereas CSK will like to defy the odds and bounce back to win the match which will matter the most in the entire season.
Talking about past records, MI lead CSK. This will be the fourth such instance of MI and CSK facing each other in an IPL final. In the 3 occasions, so far, it has been the Men in Blue who have prevailed on top of CSK twice. They won over the Yellow Brigade in 2013 and 2015 editions. Overall, this will be MI's fifth IPL final appearance; wherein they have ended as champions on three instances. Every MI fan knows that their franchise lifts the championship every alternate year, and going by the pattern the IPL trophy should come to them once again.
