Punit Malhotra directorial college drama 'Student of the Year 2' starring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles has witnessed a decent opening day at the box office. The film which is a sequel to the 2012 Karan Johar directorial 'Student of the Year' marks the much anticipated Bollywood debut of Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. The film hit the screens on May 10.
According to the latest report on the Boxofficeindia.com, on Friday, the film has managed to rake in a total of Rs 12 crore approximately on its opening day at the box office. The collections are 50% less than Tiger Shroff's last film 'Baaghi 2'. The film is expected to grow over the weekend.
